Take It EASY will be released Wednesday from Torquere Press. I hope you all get a chance to buy it and enjoy it. These are wonderful characters and a great story. I'd love to hear from you if you like it. Let me know what you think.

I have finished Love, Grant. I have finished Too Keen at TEB. I have finished Take It EASY. I have finished The Six of Pentacles: Tommy's Story. I have finished Between Matt and Jason. I have Changes in the charity sip collection at Torquere, proceeds to The Matthew Shepherd Foundation. I am not in la la land. I am in lull land.  Getting ready to start something new, but feeling good about what I've accomplished in the last few months. Books coming out in November, December, January, and April, and ...fall of 2010, so far.

I love writing and really adore reading so am taking a few days to catch up on everyone else's works that they've gotten out recently. I am enjoying that immensely.

I have three sequels in my mind, Gom, Randy, and Daniel, but would like to do something new right now. Thinking...thinking...thinking.

I am impressed with what Elisa is doing with the Rainbow Awards. It's a big job. Some of my favorite books and authors are nominated (and that's including two of mine!). I enjoyed voting for friends and favorites.

Taking care of getting Mom settled. She has been accepted into long term care at the nursing home, so all is well. New room, nicer, a litle bigger, nice view, bird feeder outside the window, so I'm buying bird seed now...

Been finishing Between Matt and Jason and then will start on Love, Grant. I am also starting edits on Take It EASY.  Soon, I imagine, I'll start edits on Tommy's Story.

It's gonna be a busy fall. But hey, that's better than a boring or nonproductive one, huh?

I'm so enjoying the songs and will probably use a couple I've seen and hadn't thought of.

I'm off to have lunch with a sweet young friend of mine and we're going to stop and visit Mom first. I have her a new seersucker gown in lovely colors yellow, aqua, lavender, and pink. I think she'll like that. She's feeling better now and her hemo level is up after the hospital trip. Yea.

I'll be back soon and see if I've gotten any more good ideas. Then maybe I'll put the other question on that I thought about last night. I'm interested in the responses to it, too.

I'm trying to be lazy but I keep finding things to do and now I need to go visit Mom and then go get an allergy shot and then it's back here. I'm reading a cool book by Cameron Dane, Dreaming in Color. Very interesting. I've had a week of Norah Roberts, TC Blue, ZA Maxfield, and Cameron Dane. Not a bad week, bookwise, I tell ya.

Read the posts from Mychael and Zathyn and was inspired. True love does that, doesn't it? This picture, of a barely opened calla lily, makes a perfect heart. I think they make a perfect heart, don't you? I wish those two the very best.

It's been a while. I've been caught up in taking care of Mom, even though she's in a care facility now, I go each day and do things. She's fine.

She loved it when I took out the print copy of Love, Jamie to show her with her dedication page in it. She was thrilled with it. So was I, frankly. I can't get over the fact that I can go in and see my book...mine...on the shelf with all my other favorites. It's wonderful.

I'm working on Between Matt and Jamie and enjoying visiting them again. I will cut this short and go work on said book now.

I just wanted to check in and let you know I'm still here and trying to keep up with everything.

Mom is fine. She informed me she had a whirlpool bath today and liked it. They take really good care of her and she will be better there where they can keep an eye on her blood count and so on. I'm not as bad as I was yesterday. Thanks for support.

I need to get to the writing. After I sleep some.

I only thought I was prepared for how I'd feel when I left the nursing home where I had my mother placed. Despite the fact that everyone tells me this is the very best one in town, I was devastated when I left. Cried for hours. She will have wonderful care and so on, but it is half a tiny room, no tv, drab, old bed, etc. Whew. Get over it, I guess. But it's not gonna be a good time for me. Now I'll feel guilty when I'm not there visiting and just as bad when I am.  She's all good with it. Says she's fine, but Lor-dee. I'm not.

I've had two books accepted in the past week. One at Torquere and one at TEB. I'm thrilled about both. So be looking for Take It EASY in November and Too Keen in January.

In the meantime, I'm having to place Mom into a nursing home this week. Was told today that it is probably cancer of stomach or colon causing the loss of blood and lack of appetite lately. She's too frail to undergo tests or procedures, so...anyway. It's a hard week for me. I've dedicated one book at each house to her as she, at 82, is my biggest supporter. She thinks what I do is just cool. I'm lucky. I have friends who could not handle it, but she loves it. Hats off to Betty.

I'm trying to keep up with things, but I'll be in and out in the next few days. I love to check in and read about other people's lives. Keep enjoying life, y'all.

I had this thought. Wouldn't Z.A.Maxfield's Drawn Together make a wonderful movie? I can just picture it. The visuals, the characters, the action, the plot. It's all there. Now...for casting. That would be fun, too. Bears some thinking about.

I've had such a good time reading lately. I so enjoyed Cultivatin Love by Addison and DT as I mentioned was just great, ZAM. I'm starting on Physical Therapy now. I'd read all night if I could.

Busy Friday and Saturday and lazy Sunday. Hope all is well with you all. I'm beginning to work on a short story...or two. I'd like to try doing two: one for Torquere and one for TEB. That would be great as I will soon have a novel in each place waiting for acceptance. Thinking, thinking, thinking...

I just finished Tommy's Story. I will have to read over and polish it and then I'll send it off. I'm relieved. I like it. I hope everyone else will.

Whew. That was a labor of love, for sure. It was nice to visit Gom and Soldier and Dillon again. And Tommy's found love. Bless his heart.
